A few years back, I came across this frame work that consist of
Health, Emotions, Relationships, Time, Career, Finances, Contribution.

This framework had surfaced out my subconscious ranking and priorities and provided insight into the trajectory of my life, then decide if thats the trajectory I want it to be.

I came to realized that career is often not occupy my number 1 spot.
Personally, health and relationships (especially family) come first.

As a leader of a company, if work isn’t my top priority, I cannot expect the same from others. In fact, it’s rare for a person’s career to be their foremost priority.

Let’s test this assumption. When a person face of major life events like terminal illness, divorce, or the loss of loved ones, the person’s commitment to work will shifts, at least temporarily. Thats a sign of human behavior are craving for LOVE as priority, and work is one of the platform for them to fullfill that need

We often hear stories of individuals prioritizing work, leading to long hours and eventually neglecting their health, relationships, and other aspects of life. It’s not a matter of right or wrong; rather, its about the person’s choice, whether made consciously or not.

For those that taking care wellbeing of others, either in life or at work, its crucial for us to know that, and make it a conscious decision.

So, What ranks number one in your life? Is it Health, Emotions, Relationships, Time, Career, Finances, or Contribution?

This is my childhood photo. With dad being my inspiration and the person I crave love most, I learn lots of his behavior subconsciously. Although he passed away from cancer many years ago, his absence gifted me invaluable lessons. One of them was the importance of prioritising health. The rest, we can choose based on what resonates with us.

I am reminded of a quote:
A healthy person have a million dream, an unhealthy person have only one dream.
